Run No. 81 - November 8, 2024
Venue: Paksong, Laos (Mekong Indochina Hash Weekend) Trash
SLAP led a team of hares on this excellent trail
around Paksong. We had well over 100 hounds on the chase, and they
enjoyed a 8+ km runners trail, and a 5+ km walkers trail.
After about an hour bus ride out into the countryside, east of Pakse,
the busses all pulled up to the Paksong Phuthevada Hotel and
unloaded over 100 hounds for the days adventure in hashing. Trail
took us down the hill and through a local village, before crossing
an old rickety bamboo bridge and out into the fields of joy. Trail
soon turned up uP UP making its way to a bird's eye view of the
surrounding area. While those sites were stunning, the entire trail
offered so many awesome sites while we sweated our way on back to
the hotel, including a couple water crossings.
Most of the pack made their way around without incident, but we had
a couple tail gun charlies that not only missed the circle, but also
the lunch. They wandered in just as we were headed to the busses . .
. lucky for them.
